How thick should a concrete patio be?+
For a residential patio used for foot traffic and outdoor furniture, a 4-inch slab is the standard thickness. If you plan to park a vehicle on it or use it for heavy equipment, we recommend going to 6 inches and adding rebar reinforcement. The thickness we recommend will always be based on what you actually plan to use the space for.
Will my concrete patio crack over time?+
